Updating Your Personal Details

The My Account section allows you to update, add and remove basic information about yourself. Here you can:

Editing Your Personal Details

To edit your personal details:

1. Click on  Your Name in the top right corner of the screen, then click on My Account. Here you can review your personal details (salutation, first name, middle name, last name, date of birth, country of residence). You may update your personal details as needed.

2. If your credit card is issued by the U.S., select this checkbox.

3. Click the  Save Changes button at the bottom of the page to update your account details.

Managing Your Emails

You can change you give to us when you signed up, add the additional email addresses, add authentication with Google and/or Apple ID or delete the email addresses that are not valid anymore.

Changing Login Email Address

You may change the email address you give to us when you signed up. 

To change your primary login email, click on  Your Name in the top right corner of the screen, click on My Account, navigate to Email addresses section, type the new address under Login Email and click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.

Authentication With Google and/or Apple ID

Here's why you may want to add authentication with Google and/or Apple ID:

  • You will be able to log in even if you have forgotten your TFX login credentials
  • You will be able to log in faster 
  • You will benefit from Google and/or Apple security options for your account (2-Factor Authentication, getting notifications on login from a different country/continent, etc.)

To do this, click on   Your Name in the top right corner of the screen, click on  My Account, navigate to Email addresses section, click Connect Google Account or Connect Apple ID, then follow the standard Google/Apple authorization procedure. 

Note that you can connect only one Google or one Apple ID account at a time. However, you can connect both.

Once your Google and/or Apple ID account is connected, you will see a notification. Click the  Disconnect link if you don't want to use authentication with Google and/or Apple ID anymore, then confirm.

Adding Email Addresses

By default, we communicate with clients through the email address they give to us when they sign up. However, we understand that many of our clients use two or more email addresses regularly. If you wish to receive information or communicate with TFX from multiple email accounts, you may add additional email addresses. To do this, 

1, Click on  Your Name in the top right corner of the screen, click on  My Account, navigate to Email addresses section, click Add Another Email Address, then type your email. By default, to the second email you will receive only the emails from your CPA & our support team, but not the  automatic reminders. If you also want to receive automatic reminders to the second email address, select the checkbox below. 

2. Click the  Save Changes button at the bottom of the page. The email address you added is now authorized to receive information from TFX. You may add as many email addresses as you want.   

Deleting Email Addresses

If you have more than one email address linked to your account, you may delete all your email addresses except for the primary email address.

Click on  Your Name in the top right corner of the screen, click on My Account, navigate to Email addresses section, click the Delete icon next to the email address you wish to delete, then click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.

Changing Your Password

To change your password:

1.  Click on Your Name in the top right corner of the screen, click on My Account, navigate to Security & password section at the bottom of the page, then click the Change password link.

2. Type your existing password into the  Old Password box, then type your new password into the  New Password and Confirm New Password boxes. It should have at least 8 characters, one capital letter, and one number. Click on the eye icon if you would like to see the symbols entered.

3. Click Change Password to update your password.

Creating a Password (For Google and Apple ID Authentification)

If you have registered with Google account or Apple ID, you don't have a TFX password. However, you may want to create one for some reason (specifically, if you want to disable Two-Factor Authentication or if you want to use our mobile app where you can't log in with Google for now). Here's how you can set up your TFX password:

1.  Click on  Your Name in the top right corner of the screen, click on My Account, navigate to Security & password section at the bottom of the page, then click the Change password link. 

2. Type your new password into the  New Password and Confirm New Password boxes, then Change Password. It should have at least 8 characters, one capital letter, and one number. Click on the eye icon if you would like to see the symbols entered. 

Now you will be able to log in by typing in your email and password.

Managing Your Phone Numbers

You may change your existing number, add the additional ones or delete the ones that are not valid anymore. You can also specify the best time to receive calls.

Changing Your Primary Phone Number

If your phone number has changed, it's a good idea to update the number in your account. That way, we can get in touch and confirm your identity in case of a suspicious login attempt.

To edit your phone settings:  

1. Click on  Your Name in the top right corner of the screen, click on My Account, then navigate to Phone & SMS section.

2. Type your new number, then click the  Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.

Once the phone number is changed, you’ll need to verify it. Click the not verified icon next to the number, then repeat the verification process.

Once your phone number has been verified, the orange icon will become green.

Note: If you change from a verified phone number to an unverified phone number and then change back again, you will have to verify the original number again. 

Adding Phone Numbers

Once your first phone number has been verified, you may add more numbers. Adding two or more numbers is a good idea because it makes it easier for us to contact you if necessary. Besides, your verified numbers can be used to receive SMS codes when signing in with 2-step verification enabled.

1. Click on  Your Name in the top right corner of the screen, click on My Account, then navigate to Phone & SMS section.

2. Click Add Another Phone Number link, type your new number, then click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.

Deleting Phone Numbers

If you have more than one phone number, you may delete all your numbers except for the primary one.

1. Click on  Your Name in the top right corner of the screen, click on My Account, then navigate to Phone & SMS section.

2. Click the bin icon next to the phone number you wish to delete, then click the  Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.

Specifying the Best Time to Receive Calls

Our clients live all around the world. We understand that it's better to call whenever it's convenient for you. That's why you can specify the best time for you to receive calls.

1. Click on  Your Name in the top right corner of the screen, click on My Account, then navigate to Phone & SMS section.

2. Select the time zone and the period of time when you're usually available. You also may leave notes about your phone number in the field provided.  

3. Click the  Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
