Promo codes for new clients

Promo codes offering a discount on your first tax return preparation are shared with prospective clients throughout the year during various events and activities, such as webinars. TFX will send emails containing a unique promo code that can be entered during the sign-up process to receive an instant bonus credit toward TFX services.

To apply a promo code, follow these steps:

  1. Click Get started in the right top corner of our website.

  2. Select your sign-up method.

  3. On the page where we ask for your first and last name, click "Have a promo code? Click here".

    ⚠ Note: If you selected a Google or Apple sign-up method, you won't be asked about the password. You will see a slightly different window:

  4. Enter the promo code we emailed you and click Confirm.

  5. Click Create account after the promo code is accepted.

  6. Finish the sign-up process.

  7. Navigate to Bills & payments > Payment > Tax year. You will see the automatically applied bonus credit.

❗ Important notes:

  1. Existing (i.e., returning) clients are not eligible for this offer but are eligible for our Early Bird bonus program.

  2. New clients (who have never used our services) who forgot to enter the promo code during registration can forward the email with the promo code to success@tfx.tax and request a credit to be manually applied to their profile.

  3. Administrators can remove incorrectly applied promo codes if necessary.

  4. If you see a warning message: "Invalid promo code", please double-check the email we sent you. Simply copy and paste the code without spaces.
