Multi-year filing discount

If you are not eligible for the Streamlined Procedures program but need to file three or more tax years at the same time, we offer a 20% discount for preparing multiple years of the same service, such as three tax returns, three amendments, or three Form 5471s for the same company (for different years).

✔️ Examples that qualify for a discount:

Examples that do NOT qualify for a discount:

✔️ 2022 Federal tax return (Form 1040)

✔️ 2022 Federal tax return (Form 1040)

✔️ 2022 Form 5471 - Company A

❌ 2022 Form 5471 - Company A

✔️ 2023 Federal tax return (Form 1040)

✔️ 2023 Federal tax return (Form 1040)

✔️ 2023 Form 5471 - Company A

❌ 2023 Form 5471 - Company B

✔️ 2024 Federal tax return (Form 1040)

✔️ 2024 Federal tax return (Form 1040)

✔️ 2024 Form 5471 - Company A

❌ 2024 Form 5471 - Company C

In the right example, three federal tax returns are eligible for the 20% discount, but three different companies are not — no overlap/time savings for your tax preparer.

❗ Important notes:

  • The 20% discount cannot be combined with other promotions.

  • Our Streamlined Procedures service is already offered at a special discounted price and does not qualify for this additional discount.

  • If your Engagement Letter (EL) was issued without the discount, please do not sign it. Instead, click "I have questions about the engagement letter" to notify our tax team so we can correct it.

Special discounts for teachers & military personnel

At TFX, we’re proud to support those who serve others — whether in the classroom or in uniform. As a token of our appreciation, we offer exclusive discounts for international educators and military personnel filing their U.S. tax returns from abroad.

  • 🎓 Discounts for international teachers: As a thank-you to expat teachers shaping young minds around the world, we’re offering $60 off your first tax return with TFX. This discount applies to teachers at international schools (up to the high school level).

  • 🪂 Discounts for military & armed services personnel: We salute your service! Active-duty military members, veterans, retired personnel, and those in the National Guard or Reserves are eligible for a $60 discount on your first TFX tax return with TFX.

How to claim your discount

To claim your special discount, follow these simple steps:

  1. When signing up as a new client, don't use a referral link or a promo code during the registration process.

  2. Contact our Customer Success (CS) team to let us know you are eligible.

  3. Provide your proof of occupation either by:

    • Emailing it to success@tfx.tax, or

    • Uploading it to the Documents section of your TFX account.

  4. The verification process may take up to two business days.

  5. Once approved, you will receive an Engagement Letter with the $60 discount applied.

Accepted proof documents

  • For teachers:

    • School ID

    • Letter of employment or contract from the educational institution

    • Teaching certificate

  • For military personnel:

    • Military ID

    • DD-214 Form (Discharge papers for veterans or active-duty members)

❗ Important notes:

  • This $60 discount is applied only to the first tax return with TFX — only new clients are eligible. Returning clients may take advantage of our Early Bird discount.

  • This discount can be applied to either the primary taxpayer or their spouse if one qualifies.

  • This discount cannot be combined with other promotions. During the registration process, you can either use a discount from a referral link, apply a promo code for new clients, or claim a discount for teachers & military personnel. Check how you can save more with TFX.

  • If the CS team confirmed your eligibility, but the Engagement Letter (EL) was issued without the discount, please do not sign it. Open the EL and click "I have questions about the engagement letter" to notify our tax team so we can correct it.
